Steve Sovern always carries a camera even when doing other stuff.  Early on, he owned a sign company and an advertising agency.  With his wife Bonnie, a fiber artist, they owned an acreage raising sheep, llamas, and other woolly animals. He was a state senator and a nominee for United States Congress.  At age 50 he got a law degree and began a litigation practice soon realizing that restoring relationships as a mediator was better.
Throughout those years, he had a camera at his side at every turn capturing natural beauty wherever he found it.  In the age of film, he produced images from his darkroom in an old coal chute. Now retired he is found, equipment in tow, visiting wildlife refuges, national parks, and any other place the natural world shows its wonders.  You can share that journey with images from this site.
